Spooky Dry Fog

Four randos rode the RUSA Tar Heel 200K today: Jayjay, Mike O, Biker Bob, and me. Gorgeous weather, totally unseasonal for October. Pleasant traffic. Only one two pesky flats.

Click the photo at left to see the lifting spooky dry fog which had lasted three hours this morning. Very Halloween. Photo at right is Mike, Jayjay, and Bob.

 Great day on the bikes.

that dry fog photo certainly is strange, esp. the concentric circles.

I ended up with 2 flats Saturday, both caused by the rim strip pulling over to one side exposing the rough edge of a spoke eyelet. It was over a year since I rode TH and I forgot 2 things: How bumpy Fairgrounds Rd. is and how long the stretch between Cedar Creek and Tarheel are.

It was great day for riding,
Mike O.
